Pharmacist's Toolkit

Accessibility Statement

We're committed to making Pharmacist's Toolkit accessible to all pharmacy professionals, including those with disabilities.

Last reviewed: January 1, 1970

Our commitment

Pharmacist's Toolkit is designed to be usable by as many people as possible, including pharmacy professionals with visual, motor, cognitive, or other disabilities. We believe clinical reference tools should be available to everyone in the profession, and accessibility is part of how we operationalize that belief.

We design the site to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards, which are widely recognized as the current standard for accessible web content. We do not currently claim full conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA, but we work toward meeting these standards as we develop and improve the site.

What we work toward

We aim to support the following across the site:

  • Clear, readable typography with sufficient color contrast
  • Logical heading structure and semantic HTML for screen readers
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements
  • Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
  • Form fields with associated labels
  • ARIA attributes where they meaningfully improve the experience
  • Mobile-responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and devices
  • Consistent, predictable navigation patterns

We are continually identifying and addressing accessibility gaps as we encounter them.

Reporting accessibility issues

If you encounter a barrier accessing any part of Pharmacist's Toolkit — a tool that doesn't work with your assistive technology, content that's hard to read, a form you can't navigate, or any other issue — we want to know so we can fix it.

Please contact us:

When reporting an accessibility issue, it helps to include:

  • The specific page or tool affected (URL if possible)
  • The assistive technology or browser you're using
  • A description of what's not working

We review accessibility reports as a priority and aim to respond and resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Third-party content and tools

Some elements of Pharmacist's Toolkit may include third-party content, integrations, or services (such as email subscription forms or payment processing). We work with vendors who prioritize accessibility, but we cannot guarantee the accessibility of every third-party element. If you encounter an issue with a third-party feature, please report it to us and we will work with the vendor to address it.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a one-time project. As we add new tools, references, and content to Pharmacist's Toolkit, we will continue to design for accessibility from the start, audit existing content periodically, and respond to user feedback. This statement will be updated as our practices evolve.
